Taylor penned "Innocent" after Kanye West stormed the stage at the 2009 Video Music Awards after Taylor won an award for her "You Belong With Me" music video. The song talks about learning from your mistakes and growing into a better person, which Kanye sadly did not do. Taylor later performed this song at the 2010 VMAs.
